Who We Are
International, Anglo-Israeli, TRIO NOGA was established in 2015. Its aim was to offer its listeners a new fresh approach to a well known and loved repertoire, while also expanding it by playing new works which hadn’t been performed on concert stages.
The three members of the TRIO are intensively active in versatile areas of music, stretching from performance of early music on historic instruments to modern music played on modern instruments. When playing together as a TRIO they offer a wealth of experience in historic performance, as well as solo, chamber music and in orchestral playing. Thus, their approach to their instruments is unique both in its balanced sound and in its sensitivity to the musical text as it is being created.
The TRIO”s repertoire begins with works from the late of the 18th century by Haydn and Mozart, continuing into the 19th and 20th centuries with works by C.M.von Weber, C. Schumann, Hummel, De Falla, Debussy, Ph. Gaubert, and M. Ravel, and up to the current century including works which have been written specially for the TRIO by Hagar Kadima, Irina Svetova and more.
The TRIO has defined as one of its aims dedicating one concert on each tour to a worthy social endeavor. So far it has donated concerts to The Shelter for Battered Women in Jerusalem, to Syrian refugees, to the Shekel Group which facilitates the integration of special needs adults into the community, and more.
From its inception TRIO NOGA has played many concerts throughout Israel, from Neot Smadar in the South to Katzrin in the North. In major concert series (Etnachta, The Chamber series in the TARG Music Centre, The Chamber Circle in Tivon and Haifa, in Universities etc) and also abroad – in the Jewish Chamber Music Festival in Berlin.
