Orit Messer-Jacobi, cello
Orit Messer-Jacobi, the principal cellist of The Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra.
Received her B.Mus. from the Rubin Academy at Tel Aviv University.
Has performed contemporary music, as well as projects drawing from other fields such as theatre, dance, and soundtrack recordings.
Specialized in baroque violoncello with Roberto Gini at the Civica Scuola di Musica di Milano, Italy, (scholarships from the Italian and Israeli governments).
Collaborates with several important Italian baroque ensembles such as zefiro,Venice baroque orchestra etc.
Recorded for the Sony Classic, Stradivarius, Arcana and Accord labels.
Teaches chamber music and conducts youth chamber orchestras in the Tiv’on Conseravatory, Kfar Saba Conservatory and Bnei-hakibbutzim orchestra.
